The International University of Grand-Bassam is seeking a candidate to fill the position of Classroom and Audio Visual Services Assistant in the Student Affairs & Enrollment department.

BASIC FUNCTIONS OF POSITION

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED

All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.

Two Years university degree in any discipline with at least 2 years professional experience.

Knowledge of university programs and facilities. Knowledge of university policies and procedures.

Knowledge of computer equipment and software.

Speaking and writing in both English and French is required. Language proficiency will be tested. [the_ad id= »147″]

Job purpose:

Assists the Registrar with tasks related to course delivery in the IUGB Classrooms. S/he is responsible for the management of Audio Visual Equipment on campus.

Duties

  • Manages the attendance forms for classes in the classroom building
  • Maintains records related to the arrival and departure of faculty in the classroom building and reports these hours to the Registrar and Human Resources Office
  • Make photocopies for courses
  • Assist faculty members by coordinating the use of classroom projectors.
  • Assist with communications from the Registrar’s Office to students and faculty
  • Monitor students in the hallways during class hours, enforce behavioral rules and report infractions
  • Monitor and equip classrooms with regular consumable supplies (markers, erasers, etc.)
  • Monitor the condition of the building and classrooms, and report problems to the registrar
  • Assist with other tasks on request of the immediate supervisor
  • Input class attendance, student information and course registration data into online data sharing
  • Receive prospective parents and students for referral to the Admissions Office during selected

periods of time

  • Communicates with the appropriate IUGB service for classroom needs (cleaning, health)

Minimum Hiring Standards

2 years’ university degree in any discipline and two years administrative experience; or high school diploma or equivalent and four years administrative experience; or a combination of training and experience.
